Senior Project Manager Brooklyn Bridge Project, Pullman SST

Pullman-Services SST performed the comprehensive masonry restoration of the 140-year old Brooklyn Bridge. Jacqueline Bascetta, Pullman’s Senior Project Manager, led the work for the masonry restoration work for the ongoing large-scale restoration of the Brooklyn Bridge, a bridge whose construction project manager was also a woman, Emily Roebling.

Eric Reid

Chief Operating Officer, New York Region for AECOM Tishman

Eric Reid is the Chief Operating Officer, New York Region for AECOM Tishman. As COO, he is responsible for overseeing operations, administration, business development, and over 1,100 employees working on various projects across the metropolitan area. He has over 25 years of experience in the design and construction industry, and has overseen all of AECOM Tishman’s residential and hotel structural work in New York City. Prior to joining AECOM Tishman in 2008, he served as a founding member of the Forensic Engineering Unit of the New York City Department of Buildings. He also has close to a decade of structural design experience working in the hospitality, residential, commercial, and gaming market sectors of the industry.

Raquel Diaz

Vice President, Gilbane Building Company

Raquel Diaz is Vice President and Public Sector Market Leader at Gilbane Building Company. In this role, she oversees Gilbane’s extensive public sector portfolio in New York City including work for clients such as the Economic Development Corporation, Dept of Design and Construction, Health + Hospitals, and New York Public Library. Throughout her 17-year career, Raquel has been an inspiration to those she works with, and she is passionate about building critical community facilities, inspiring her team members, and creating opportunities for others to succeed. Raquel was recognized by the Women Builders Council as one of its Next Generation of Women Builders and by Crain’s New York as a Notable Woman in Construction, Design, and Architecture.

Over the last 16 years, she has worked with amazing teams completing over $2 billion and 2.7M SQF in project delivery, always aiming to execute with excellence. Her varied background drives me to continue learning everyday from the amazing people around me. As a leader, I am often motivating, coaching, caring, teaching but most of all hoping that I am training my future boss and the better leader of tomorrow. I hold teams accountable to strive for excellence and lead by example with complete transparency.

Folasade (SADE) Olanipekun-Lewis

Vice President Operating and Community Partnerships, Vantage Airport Group

Folasade (Sade) A. Olanipekun-Lewis is the Vice President, Operating and Community Partnerships at Vantage Airport Group where she currently leads the development and implementation of meaningful community and organizational partnerships in support of Vantage’s airport and infrastructure projects, among them the $4.9 billion redevelopment of JFK Terminal 6.

Thomas Foley

Commissioner, NYC Department of Design and Construction

Thomas Foley, P.E. CCM ENV SP is Commissioner of the NYC  Department of Design and Construction.  His work and leadership at the largest capital construction agency in New York City with a portfolio valued over $24 billion has built a legacy for sustainability, project delivery and innovation in design and construction. Commissioner Foley is a licensed Professional Engineer, a certified Construction Manager, a National Board member at the Design Build Institute of America and was recently inducted into the National Academy of Construction. He is a dedicated public servant for over 25 years.

Edwin Lopez

Executive Secretary, New York Electrical Contractors Association

Edwin Lopez currently serves as Executive Secretary of New York Electrical Contractors Association.

A staunch advocate of women and minorities in the construction industry, Lopez championed the first MWBE Directory for NYECA in 2007. He has also supported NYECA’s diversity and inclusion programs, advancing the development of a Diversity and Inclusion initiative for the Chapter’s members. His work continues as he develops union transition and PLA training programs for MWBE contractors.

Union Advocacy. Lopez is a third generation member of Local Union # 3, IBEW, who started his career as an electrical apprentice in 1977. From 1992-2005, he served as the Union’s Construction Department Business Representative in The Bronx. From 1986-1992, Lopez served as the President of the Santiago Iglesias Educational Society; an organization of electricians that his father founded in 1958, along with Harry Van Arsdale, Jr.

Felice Farber

Executive Director, Subcontractors Trade Association

Today, Felice Farber leads the Subcontractors Trade Association as its Executive Director. She is the first woman to have been appointed to this 57 year old organization and builds a new legacy for leadership.

Previously she was the senior director of policy and external affairs at the General Contractors Association of New York, and she has spent much she is active of her career working to support and promote women in the building industry. Twenty years ago she helped develop the WTS Greater New York Mentoring program, today in helping to grow the chapter’s Appointments Committee, and she has been involved with Non-Traditional Employment for Women, a pre-apprentice training program.

Mildred Tolentino

It’s certified as a MWBE, DBE, and SBE in New York State, New York City, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Massachusetts, Texas, as well as nationally (WBENC, NMSDC).

As the Founder/CEO of a diverse, minority-owned business, Ms. Tolentino understands the impact that her company can make within the construction industry. With over 20 years of experience in leading program management, design, and construction, she spearheads a team of professionals who are experts in a diverse range of projects.

Allison Ziogas

Head of Labor Relations, Ørsted

Allison Ziogas serves as Ørsted’s U.S. labor relations manager. She will lead engagement with union representatives as Ørsted seeks to develop the largest portfolio of domestic offshore wind projects. She is creating new relationships and pathways for the unionized electrical industry in the new markets that will transform New York’s energy sector. While Ziogas’ background is in the trades, she has always had a passion for sustainability, and has spoken at events such as the New York City Climate March and for organizations like the Century Foundation. In 2019 she was the recipient of the Climate Justice Hero Award, given by the Climate Jobs NY coalition.
